The City of Douglas is taking applications for two (2) positions on the Planning & Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustments to upcoming expiring terms. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on October 26, 2018 and applicants must be City of Douglas residents. The Planning & Zoning Commission is comprised of five (5) members appointed by the City Council for three-year terms. Members act as an advisory board for Council; assist in the development of the City’s Master Plan; and review all subdivisions, annexations, developments, zone changes, replats, and conditional use permits for the City. Board members serve concurrent terms as the Board of Adjustments, which is a quasi-judicial body who hear and decide variance requests; enforce zoning ordinances; and hear appeals from and review any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official pertaining to community development. Applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office, 101 N. 4th Street, Douglas, Wyoming, or on the City of Douglas website under the "Boards and Commissions" page. Appointments will be made at the November 13, 2018 City Council meeting, or as soon as possible thereafter.
